A free viewing scope and observation station was opened in 2015 along the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail, just across from an eagle nest in a tall tree on an island in the Susquehanna River. There's also a bench and picnic table.

It's about a 2-mile hike on flat terrain either downriver from the American Legion Park trailhead on Race Avenue in Bainbridge, or by trekking upriver from East Donegal Township’s Riverfront Park, north of Marietta off of Vinegar Ferry Road.
