Calling all Artists - IT’S TIME TO REGISTER!
Join in the fun; paint scenes of the crowds, musicians, tents, vendors, and even alpacas!
Who can participate: All artists 18 years and older
Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026, during annual Cherry Blossom Festival sponsored by Discover Marietta PA.

THE EVENT: Front Street in Marietta PA, from McCleary’s Pub to River Trail Brewing.

REGISTRATION TENT: The white Registration tent at the intersection of S. Waterford and Front Street, along the tree line. (Next to Event Tent #2)

ART DISPLAY AREA: On-street at S. Waterford Ave, next to Shank’s Tavern
Timeline:

1 PM - 3:30 PM ART IN ACTION: Artists will paint alongside festival participants.

3:30 PM - 4 PM COMPLETE, FRAME AND WIRE ARTWORK: Each artist must have their art completed, framed or gallery wrapped, wired and hung from their easel in the Art Display Area at S. Waterford Ave (next to Shank’s Tavern). A complete Duplicate Display Sales Tag will be hung from the bottom of the painting (Artist name, Title of Work, and Price). Tags can be picked up at the Registration tent.

4 PM - 5 PM ART EXHIBITION & SALE: Festival participants head to the Display Area at S. Waterford Ave to view and purchase the original artwork. Our Juror will review the work and announce awards by 4:45 pm. (Artwork may not be removed until 5PM)

4:45 PM AWARDS CEREMONY: We celebrate the top artists and announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Art Display Area.

5:00 PM Art may be removed from the display area by the artist or art patron.
Registration and Payment of Fee: $20.00 nonrefundable fee. Artists can register below up until 8am Saturday, April 18, or the day of the event at the white Registration tent. Artists who applied to the River Towns Plein Air 2026 are exempt from payment and are pre-registered.

Juror of Awards: Melissa Carroll

Melissa Carroll is a Pennsylvania-based landscape painter whose work explores light and the natural environment. A Lancaster County native, she holds a Fine Arts degree from York Academy of Arts and worked as a graphic designer for over 35 years before becoming a full-time artist. Her work blends traditional landscape painting with contemporary and abstract influence
